Jeff became a Christian in 1983 at the age of 19. He Immediately felt God’s call on his life to reach out to young people and his peers. Jeff graduated from Elkins Institute of Broadcasting in Dallas Texas in 1988. His first radio job was at a Southern Gospel station in Ferris Texas in 1988. Jeff worked at several other small Christian stations from 1988 through 1993. He married in 1992 and moved from Canton, Texas to Fort Worth. After being in the sales market for a few years, God graciously called Jeff back into the radio ministry. Jeff Was ordained as a Deacon in October 2002.
Jeff says, "My wife and I are still so totally humbled that God was merciful enough to allow me the blessing of working with such an awesome ensemble of truly caring people at KSYE. I actually had the chance to stay in Christian broadcasting in 1994, but God allowed me to follow my own path for a few years and I have learned now as I look back that He was giving me a test…God mercifully kept calling me back to the broadcasting ministry as for the last few years, I had been praying that God would be gracious to me and take me out of the secular marketplace and move me back into ministry."
"I have taught the youth at church since the mid 80’s and have even been a Youth Pastor, so my call to reach out to people has never left me…but the vocation God had originally called me to was put on the back burner for a few years as I sought to trust in my own works rather than God. This is why I am so humbled, that after all these years; He has been merciful and allowed me the opportunity to work in this ministry at KSYE. I have seen over the years how God reaches people that think they have no hope…until they hear a certain song, or hear a certain teaching program…and it is then they learn God truly does care. Christian radio is such an awesome way to be a missionary for Him for now with the internet, we can truly carry the Gospel message to the ends of the earth."
